About Me
Hello! I’m YiHan Tu (Ethan Tu), a passionate researcher in the fields of Embodied Intelligence and Spatial Intelligence.
I am currently a Master’s student at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, where I am a member of the RAPID Lab under the supervision of Professor Hui Cheng.
Previously, I completed my undergraduate studies at the College of Information Science and Engineering at Northeastern University. During my undergraduate years, I was a researcher at the ACTION Lab focusing on 3D perception for robotics, advised by Professor Dehong Cong.
I am actively seeking a PhD position (starting from Fall 2027) to further my research in these areas.
Research Interests
I am particularly interested in the following topics:
- Embodied AI (Manipulation and Navigation)
- World Models for Robotics and Physical Interaction Simulation
- Semantic and Affordance-aware Mapping
- 3D Vision, SLAM, and Sensor Fusion
You can find my papers on the Publications page or see my recent projects on the Portfolio page.
If you are interested in my past work or future research directions, feel free to reach out via Email — I’d love to chat!
